[origin: WO8500282A1] The system includes filling points (10) which are formed from a thermoplastic material and include an internal heating element (24) axially aligned therein. By inserting the filling point into a prepared root canal and applying a moderate downward pressure thereon with an instrument (70) which is capable of heating the heating element in situ, the thermoplastic material can be softened to effectively seal the main root canal and accessory canals without the need to insert instruments down into the canal system.

Procédé et système d'opturation de canaux radiculaires. Le système comprend des pointes de remplissage composées d'un matériau thermoplastique et comprenant un élément chauffant interne aligné axialement. En insérant la pointe de remplissage dans un canal radiculaire préparé et en y appliquant une pression modérée vers le bas à l'aide d'un instrument pouvant chauffer l'élément chauffant in situ, le matériau thermoplastique peut être ramolli pour sceller efficacement le canal radiculaire principal ainsi que les canaux secondaires sans qu'il soit nécessaire d'insérer des instruments à l'intérieur du système de canaux.
