Abstract (en)

1. Shutter type mounting for an automatic barrel weapon, particularly a shell gun (20) with an alternating belt feed device (26) pivotable for operational purposes about a shaft (35) traversing the elevation axis (11) of the shutter (10), and with a cradle (22) which, with the barrel weapon placed therein, is pivotable about an axis parallel to the axis of the core of the barrel, from a first position, for the operation of the barrel weapon, into a second position, for the purpose of verifying the barrel weapon, and vice versa, characterised by the following features : a) a front armouring (FP) of the shutter (10) is a multi-part construction and positioned in a guide (276, 278) movable transversally to the longitudinal axis (10') of the shutter (10) in such a way that on the one hand, even when the cradle (22) has been pivoted for the purpose of verifying the barrel weapon (20), the front armouring of the shutter (10) is preserved, while on the other hand the barrel weapon (20) is removable from the shutter (10) at the front ; b) the alternating belt feed device (26) can be mounted on the shaft (35) by moving it in the direction shown by an arrow (290) in order to insert it in the shutter and can be withdrawn in the opposite direction in order to remove it from the shutter (10) ; c) a frame (146) is mounted on the shutter (10) in the rear zone thereof ; d) the frame (146) serves to accommodate a device (SV) for pivoting the alternating belt feed device (26) and for securing a protective hood (152) and forms a counter-support for the shaft (35) ; e) the protective cover (152) keeps entering gas away from a crew in a combat chamber (154) behind the shutter (10) and protects them from injury from the possible deflagration of gas ; f) a device (FV) is associated with the cradle (22) for the purpose of detachably securing it in the first position ; and g) the device (FV) ensures that the cradle (22) will be reliably secured even in the event of considerable vibration and can be moved in the release direction in a simple manner and without appreciable effort even if the cradle (22) is subjected to a load as a result of a fault which has occurred in the weapon.
