Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0149777A2] Screwing-drilling devices are equipped with a handle housing and a screwing-drilling spindle (4) which is mounted so that one end is axially displaceable in said housing and which can be simultaneously driven in counter-clockwise or clockwise rotation via a changeover mechanism. At its other end, said spindle carries a tool-receiving sleeve (7) in which a polygonal insertion opening (15) and holding means for the tool (14), equipped with a correspondingly polygonally profiled shank (14'), are situated, the tool-receiving sleeve (7) being surrounded externally by a hand-guiding sleeve (9) rotatably mounted thereon. In order to achieve an even more stable centring retention of the polygonally profiled tool, in particular of screwing inserts (14) of corresponding structure, in the tool-receiving sleeve (7), clamping tongues (11) are provided as holding means which extend axially parallel at the front end of said sleeve and are equipped with external threading (11') on which a common clamping nut (13) is seated. Advantageously, the tool-receiving sleeve (7) also possesses a receiving cavity (16) which adjoins the polygonal insertion opening (15) of the clamping tongues (11) and whose axial length is a multiple of the length of the polygonal insertion opening (15). As a result, double tools (14) can also be clamped in. <IMAGE>
