[origin: US4603450A] An improved frame for a floor wiper consisting of two frame members (1,2) designed to fold towards on another about a pivot pin (3) and to be locked in their fully extended or open position by means of a locking mechanism (4,5) is simplified in its construction and can be made with a minimum of material and component parts providing one frame member (1) has a T-shape and the other frame members (2) a U-shape which makes with the T a substantially rectangular plate and providing the pivot pin (3) extends substantially perpendicularly of the longitudinal axis of the T and U arms (10,15) and providing the locking mechanism contains a permanent-magnet clamp (4,5). To reduce the volume and weight of the permanent magnet (4), the force arm (K) on which the magnetic force acts is intended to be as long as possible.

Ein Fußbodenwischgerät bestehend aus zwei um eine Schwenkachse (3) gegeneinander zu klappenden sowie in ihrer Streckstellung mit Hilfe einer Sperrvorrichtung (4, 5) zu arretierenden Rahmenteilen (1,2), wird im Aufbau vereinfacht und mit einem Minimum an Material sowie Konstruktionsteilen herstellbar, wenn das eine Rahmenteil (1) eine T-Form und das andere Rahmenteil (2) eine das T zu einer im wesentlichen rechteckigen Platte ergänzende U-Form besitzt und wenn die Schwenkachse (3) etwa senkrecht zur Längsrichtung der T- bzw. U-Schenkel (10, 15) ausgerichtet ist sowie die Sperrvorrichtung einen Haftmagnetverschluß (4, 5) enthält. Im Sinne eines verminderten Volumens und Gewichts des Haftmagneten (4) soll der Kraftarm (K), an dem die Magnetkraft angreift, eine möglichst große Länge haben.
