1. A folding wall, more especially for showers, comprising at least two folding door panels (8, 10) which are joined together at their front edges facing a centre line (19) by a central hinge band (70) ; guide elements (14, 16) to which the door panels (8, 10) are pivotally connected and which are displaceable along a horizontal profile rail (2) ; and at least one handle (50) which is mounted to turn in relation to the door panel (8, 10) by way of a vertical cylindrical pivot member (28) and which is at a predetermined angle (61) to the profile rail (2) in the closed position and open position of the door panels (8, 10), characterized in that, in the region of the outer lateral edge (55) remote from the centre line (19) of at least one of the door panels (8, 10), the handle is mounted for rotation in relation to the guide element (14, 16), in that the door panel (8, 10) can be turned from the closed position by means of the handle (50) about an axis (38) predetermined by the guide element (16), the handle (50) also being pivotal about the axis (38) and bearing through a contact surface (29) against the lateral edge (55) of the door panel (8, 10), and in that the pivot member (28) is connected to the guide member (14, 16) by a pin (36).

Eine Faltwand, insbesondere für Duschen, weist eine Profilschiene (2) eines Rahmens oder dergleichen und wenigstens zwei zusammenfaltbare und gelenkig miteinander verbundene Türelemente (8, 10) auf. Die Türelemente sind an Führungskörpern (14, 15) angelenkt, welche in der Profilschiene (2) in deren Längsrichtung verschiebbar sind. Die Faltwand soll dahingehend verbessert werden, dass einerseits die Herstellung und Montage mit einem geringen Aufwand durchführbar ist und andererseits die Handhabung und insbesondere das Öffnen in einfacher Weise erfolgen kann. Es wird vorgeschlagen, dass im Bereich einer Seitenkante (55) das Türelements (8, 10) ein Griffelement (50) mit einem Gelenk (28, 48) angelenkt ist. Das Griffelement (50) liegt mit einer Anlagefläche (29) beim Öffnen an der Seitenkante (55) des Türelements (8, 10) an, wobei das Türelement (8, 10) um seine Achse (38) aus der geschlossenen Position heraus aufschwenkbar ist. Das Griffelement (50) ist sowohl in der geschlossenen als auch in der geöffneten Position der Türelemente (8, 10) zur Längsachse (50) der Profilschiene (2) in einem vorgegebenen Winkel (61) ausgerichtet.
