A folding wall, more especially for showers, comprising at least two folding door panels (8, 10) which are joined together at their front edges facing a centre line (19) by a central hinge band (70) ; guide elements (14, 16) to which the door panels (8, 10) are pivotally connected and which are displaceable along a horizontal profile rail (2) ; and at least one handle (50) which is mounted to turn in relation to the door panel (8, 10) by way of a vertical cylindrical pivot member (28) and which is at a predetermined angle (61) to the profile rail (2) in the closed position and open position of the door panels (8, 10), characterized in that, in the region of the outer lateral edge (55) remote from the centre line (19) of at least one of the door panels (8, 10), the handle is mounted for rotation in relation to the guide element (14, 16), in that the door panel (8, 10) can be turned from the closed position by means of the handle (50) about an axis (38) predetermined by the guide element (16), the handle (50) also being pivotal about the axis (38) and bearing through a contact surface (29) against the lateral edge (55) of the door panel (8, 10), and in that the pivot member (28) is connected to the guide member (14, 16) by a pin (36).
