In the process for the hydrocracking of coal under pressure, pulverised coal together with fine catalyst particles is pasted with an asphalt-free mixture of middle oil and heavy oil and treated with hydrogen at 100 to 400 bar and 420 to 490 DEG C. The reaction products are passed into a hot separator, a distillate oil for pasting the coal and a residue are separated off as bottom product (sludge), and the gases which leave at the top of the separator and contain the oil produced are passed directly over a fixed bed of hydrogenation catalysts.

Die Anmeldung betrifft ein Verfahren zur kontinuierlichen Herstellung von Kohlenwasserstoffen aus Kohle durch spaltende Druckhydrierung, bei dem gemahlene Kohle mit feinverteilten Katalysatoren mit einem asphaltfreien Gemisch aus Mittelöl und Schweröl angerieben und mit Wasserstoff bei 100 bis 400 bar und 420 bis 490°C behandelt werden. Die Reaktionsprodukte werden in einen Heißabscheider geführt, als Sumpfprodukt (Abschlamm) wird ein Destillatöl zum Anreiben der Kohle und ein Rückstand abgetrennt und die am Kopf des Abscheiders abziehenden Gasen, die den Ölgewinn enthalten, unmittelbar über festangeordnete Hydrierkatalysatoren geleitet.
