1. An apparatus for flashing reinforcing steel bars for connecting areas of concrete buildings, in the form of an elongate, substantially striplike, one-part body (1) having at least three longitudinal folded edges (2 to 5) in which bend-out connecting areas (14) of the reinforcing steel bars (8) can be embedded, the anchoring areas (15) thereof protruding out of a broad longitudinal surface (6) of the body, said surface having longitudinally spaced openings (11), characterized in that the entire body (1) embedding the reinforcing steel bars is made of hydrophilic cardboard.
