Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0152788A2] The device is used in particular in railway goods waggons in which partition walls are arranged between the stacks of loaded material, are suspended in the waggon body by means of running rollers, are longitudinally displaceable and can be fixed as desired at the top and bottom of the waggon body by means of grids. In the known partition walls, the longitudinal forces occurring as a result of buffer impacts are transferred directly from the partition walls via their grids into the waggon body. The partition walls, the grids and the mounting devices of the grids on the waggon body are thus very highly loaded. The aim of the invention consists in elastically absorbing the inertia forces acting on the partition walls so that the waggon body, the loaded material and the partition walls are protected from damage. This aim is achieved in that a locking pin 20 which cooperates with a locking rail 6 of the waggon body is arranged at at least the upper grids 11 of the partition wall 8 and is displaceable relative to the partition wall 8 in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle counter to the force of a damping spring 22 arranged in the grid 11, whilst the position of the locking pin 20 is unchangeable during the displacement of the partition wall 8. <IMAGE>
