[origin: US4645540A] The invention relates to a continuously operating centrifuge having a centrifuge basket, a feed tube for the charge, reaching into the basket, and an accelerating and heating device arranged at the bottom of the basket, which device has, coaxial to the basket, rings of various diameter arranged concentrically one in the other, the inside walls of which conically widen downwards and before the lower horizontal edge of which the charge is centrifuged to the ring lying further outside. More than two rings are arranged, the spaces between the rings being open upwards and downwards. The rings have an upper free horizontal centrifuging edge, and a steam feed tube is arranged off-center through which steam is brought into the annular spaces from above.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine kontinuierlich arbeitende Zentrifuge mit einem Zentrifugenkorb, einem in den Korb hineinreichenden Aufgaberohr für die Füllmasse und einer unten im Korb angeordneten Beschleuniger- und Beheizungseinrichtung, die koaxial zum Korb konzentrisch ineinander angeordnete Ringe unterschiedlichen Durchmessers aufweist, deren Innenwandung sich konisch nach unten hin erweitert und vor deren unterer waagrechten Kante die Füllmasse zum weiter aussen liegenden Ring geschleudert wird. Es sind mehr als zwei Ringe angeordnet, wobei die Räume zwischen den Ringen nach oben hin offen sind. Die Ringe weisen eine obere freie waagerechte Abschleuderkante auf, und aussermittig ist ein Dampfaufgaberohr angeordnet, durch das in die Ringzwischenräume von oben Dampf gebracht wird.
