[origin: US4641360A] A carrying bag comprises two substantially rectangular sheets of plastic film, which constitute mutually opposite walls and are joined along three edges and have free edge portions defining an opening of the bag, also comprising a stiffening bar, which is made of synthetic thermoplastic material and is parallel to the free edge portion of one of said walls and is welded to the inside surface of said one wall at said free edge portion, said bar having an intermediate portion which is integral with a U-shaped handle, which is adapted to be positively connected to the free edge portion of the other wall. The free edge portion of the other wall of the bag is welded on its inside surface to a second stiffening bar, which is made of synthetic thermoplastic material and is parallel to the free edge portion of said other wall, and a slot is defined by said second bar and by a relatively low, U-shaped slot-defining member having legs which are integrally joined to said second bar.

Eine Tragetasche aus thermoplastischem Kunststoff ist auf der Innenseite einer Wandung mit einer zum Rand der Taschenöffnung parallelen aussteifenden Leiste verschweisst, die in ihrem mittleren Bereich einstückig mit einem bügelförmigen Traggriff verbunden ist, der formschlüssig mit dem Öffnungsrand der gegenüberliegenden Taschenwandung verbunden werden kann. Um einen guten Taschenverschluss bei ansprechendem Aussehen der Tragetasche zu schaffen, ist auch der Öffnungsrand der anderen Taschenwandung auf seiner Innenseite mit einer zu diesem parallelen aussteifenden Leiste (4) aus thermoplastischem Kunststoff verschweisst, die mit einem Durchsteckschlitz (12) für den Traggriff (9) versehen ist. Der Durchsteckschlitz ist durch eine flache U-förmige Leiste (13, 14, 15) gebildet, deren Schenkel (13, 14) einstückig mit der aussteifenden Leiste (4) verbunden sind.
