Pluggable electrical connector, of the type comprising a) a connection case or cage (33, 133) in the general form of a U bounded by two metal cheeks (37, 137) and (32) respectively between which there can be inserted, through the top aperture (69) of this U, a plug element for example a blade (70) or a cylindrical fuse cartridge (71) intended to control or cut off the electrical supply of a circuit or an apparatus, b) at least one contact cage (34, 234, 334, 434, 534) in the form of a chamber wherein there is arranged and held an electrical conductor cable (46), for the supply of the circuit or apparatus, and c) a central wall common to the connection cage and to at least one contact cage, the said connector (31, 131, 231, 331, 431, 531) being made from an element cut to length from a metallic section produced by extrusion, and being characterised in that one of the flanges (36) of the U-shaped connection cage (33, 133) is duplicated internally by a supplementary flange which forms one of the two cheeks (37, 137), a spring (38) being situated between the said flange (36) and this cheek (37, 137), and in that the common central wall is constituted by the flange (32) of the connection cage other than that (36) which is duplicated by the supplementary flange (37, 137).
