The invention relates to a foodstuff container consisting of a housing, especially made from plastic, having a plate-shaped or hood- shaped lower housing part and plate-shaped or hood-shaped lid, and its purpose is to improve the container to the extent that hygienic cooling of the material to be stored therein and simple handling when introducing the material into the container are possible. This is achieved by an arrangement wherein the lower housing part (3) and/or the lid (2) contains a refrigerating battery (9, 27). <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf einen Behälter für Lebensmittel, bestehend aus einem insbesondere aus Kunststoff gefertigten Gehäuse mit einem plattenförmigen oder haubenförmigen Gehäuseunterteil und einem plattenförmigen oder haubenförmigen Deckel, und bezweckt, den Behälter dahingehend zu verbessern, daß eine hygienische Kühlung des darin aufzubewahrenden Gutes und eine einfache Handhabung beim Einbringen des Gutes im Behälter möglich ist. Dies wird dadurch erreicht, daß das Gehäuseunterteil (3) und/oder der Deckel (2) einen Kühlakku (9, 27) enthält.
