Abstract (en)
The invention relates to a clock which procures various time parameters from the name of a place communicated to it. The displaying of the name of the particular selected place allows the calculation and automatic displaying, for this place, of time indicators such as: hours, minutes, months, days and phase of the moon, with calculation and displaying of the Gregorian calendar and of the Islamic calendar, with moreover indication of the direction of a favoured place such as Mecca and of the hour of the various Islamic prayers, indicated by an image on the screen and a sound signal. The invention applies mainly to Moslems, for use in calling to prayer and indicating the direction of Mecca, but may also serve in other applications. <IMAGE>

L'invention concerne une horloge qui procure différents paramètres de temps à partir du nom d'un lieu qu'on lui communique. L'affichage du nom du lieu sélectionné particulier permet le calcul at l'affichage automatique, pour ce lieu, des fonctions de temps telles que : heures, minutes, mois, jours et phase de la lune, avec calcul at affichage du calendrier grégorien et du calendrier musulman, avec en outre une indication de la direction d'un lieu privilégié tel que la Mecque et de l'heure des différentes prières musulmanes, indiquées par une image sur l'écran et un signal acoustique. L'invention trouve son application principale chez les Musulmans, pour servir d'appel à la prière et d'indicatuer de la direction de La Mecque, mais peut également servir pour d'autres applications.
