[origin: WO8605845A1] The device is intended especially for single intake manifold injection systems. An injection valve for single manifold injection in mix-compressing internal combustion engines is held by a plug-type connector on its ejection side by means of a nozzle tip in an opening in the wall of the intake manifold with insertion of a rubber-elastic O-ring. In order to prevent damage to the O-ring at the edges of the wall opening, when the injection valve is plugged in, a centering device is mounted on the nozzle tip's free end. Preferably, the centering device is designed as a protective cap mounted on the free end of the nozzle.

Ein Einspritzventil für Einzelsaugrohr-Einspritzung bei gemischverdichtenden Brennkraftmaschinen ist abspritzseitig durch eine Steckverbindung mittels eines Mundstückes in einer Wanddurchbrechung des Saugrohres unter Zwischenschaltung eines gummielastischen O-Ringes gehalten. Um eine Beschädigung des O-Ringes beim Einstecken des Einspritzventiles an Bearbeitungskanten der Wanddurchbrechung zu vermeiden, ist im freien Endbereich des Mundstückes eine Zentriervorrichtung angeordnet. Vorzugsweise ist die Zentriervorrichtung an einer im freien Endbereich des Mundstückes anordbaren Schutzkappe ausgebildet.
