Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0154266A2] 1. A releasable hinge arrangement on a foldable hatch covering aboard ship, of which any two hatch covers (1, 2) involved may from a closed state lying side by side be moved relative to one another through 180 degrees into an upright parallel open position and have hinge eyes (4, 5) associated with one another, which in the operational state receive in openings aligned with one another a hingepin (6) which for release may be brought out of engagement with the hinge eye on the one hatch cover, characterized in that the hinge eye (4) on the one hatch cover (1) is made U-shaped and in the closed state of the hatch covers (1, 2) allows the escape of the hingepin (6) held in the hinge eye (5) of the other hatch cover (2), and that on the hinge eye (5) of the other hatch cover (2) a locking cam (7) is arranged concentric with the hingepin (6) in the form of an annular segment which in any state of the hatch covers (1, 2) between folded at all and folded together engages behind an axial thickening (4a) with a circular outer contour on the hinge eye (4) on the one hatch cover (1) and prevents the escape of the hingepin (6).
