[origin: EP0154964A2] An inflatable boat in a self-supporting type of construction, with lateral buoyancy tubes which are connected to one another via a flexible outer bottom on the underside, and with a rigid insert bottom held between outer bottom and buoyancy tubes, has an inflatable triple keel tube which is located between the outer bottom and the insert bottom and prestresses the buoyancy tubes laterally outwards. This triple keel tube supports the outer bottom at several points so that the deformation of the outer bottom is relatively small even during the action of high forces. This results in very smooth passage of such an inflatable boat. <IMAGE>
