[origin: US4631937A] A lock assembly for cabinet doors comprising a mounting plate attachable to the door panel and provided with a depression in its front face to receive a handle. The handle is connected to an operating shaft for a lock adjusting member in a spring loaded manner to cause the handle to be ejected from the depression pivoting about an axis perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the adjusting member. The hand lever is retained in and released from the depression by means of the lock assembly. The lock is installed in the mounting plate separate from the depression with the handle therein, and penetrates the door panel through an opening. The lock controls a slide adjustably disposed in the mounting plate by means of a detent element engaged in the depression, the detent element retaining the handle in the depression when the lock is in the locking position and releasing the handle which is ejected from the depression when the lock is in the unlocked position. This invention provides a lock assembly which has a small structural height, can easily be sealed, and has a conveniently and comfortably grippable handle.

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Verschluß für Schaltschranktüren und dgl. mit einer auf das Türblatt aufsetzbaren Schloßplatte, die eine vorderseitige Mulde zur versenkten Aufnahme eines Handhebels aufweist, bei dem der Handhebel an einer das Türblatt und die Schloßplatte durchdringenden Betätigungswelle für das Stellglied des Verschlusses senkrecht zu dessen Drehachse schwenkbar gelagert ist und bei dem der Handhebel mittels eines Schlosses in der Mulde arretierbar und freigebbar ist. Est ist Aufgabe der Erfindung, einen Verschluß dieser Art zu schaffen, der eine sehr kleine Bauhöhe hat, ohne Schwierigkeiten abgedichtet und mit einem leicht und gut fassbaren Handhebel versehen werden kann. Dies wird dadurch erreicht, daß das Schloß außerhalb der Mulde und des Handhebels in der Schloßplatte angeordnet ist und das Türblatt in einem weiteren Durchbruch durchdringt, daß der Handhebel mittels einer Druckfeder an der Betätigungswelle abgestützt ist, die den Handhebel aus der Mulde herausschwenkt und daß das Schloß einen in der Schloßplatte verstellbaren Schieber mit einem in die Mulde eingreifenden Halteelement steuert, das in der Schließstellung des Schlosses den Handhebel in der Mulde festhält und in der Öffnungsstellung des Schlosses zum Ausschwenken durch die Druckfeder freigibt.
