Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0156351A2] 1. Locking device for a switch point (12) having a stock rail (10), in which a locking element (16), which can be pivoted about a first axis (B) and effects locking, extends from the switch point or from a tongue attachment, and along a second axis (C) is in turn hinged on to a swivel element (18) which can be pivoted about a third axis (A) by means of a switch or sliding element (26), characterised in that the third axis (A) is arranged on the stock rail (10) or at a defined non-variable distance from the stock rail (10), that when the swivel element (18) is pivoted the locking element (16) passes a zero position (32) defined by a plane extending at right angles to the stock rail (10), and containing the first, second and third axes (B, C, A), and that when the swivel element is pivoted further and thus the locking element passes the zero position, the swivel element is pivoted into a first end position in such a way that the switch point (12) lies permanently on the stock rail (10), thus effecting locking, and that when the swivel element has been pivoted into the first end position, the first and second axes (B, C) are arranged in such a way with respect to the third axis (A) that a force from the switch point acts upon the locking element, thus preventing the release of said switch point.
