Abstract (en)
The keyboard circuit includes several character keys and one function key. The function key generates printing data representing a printing type to be printed. A control device sets the designated printing type to a printing position by causing rotation of a daisy wheel according to the print data. The daisy wheel has a number of spokes grouped in two groups including two reference spokes. The control device includes a flat area for storing a flag representing which of the spoke groups has been designated. The device, when detecting no subsequent printing data until the end of a predetermined time sets one of the reference spokes to a home position according to the flag.
