[origin: EP0156589A2] An electrostatographic printing system is disclosed as having a document supporting drum and an optical arrangement (40) for scanning a document for exposing the same as by flowing exposure to a moving photoreceptor belt (15). The system also has an optical arrangement for exposing documents placed on an exposure platen (14) for effecting flash exposure upon the moving photoreceptor belt thereby providing a dual mode of operation of a copier.
