Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0157002A1] 1. Pushbutton switch having at least one switch bridge (21) adapted to be moved to an from between two switching positions by means of a spring-loaded pushbutton (3) movable in and guided in the switch housing, the switch bridge (21) in one position connecting two contacts (8) arranged fixedly on the switch housing (1) and in the other position being separated from these contacts (8), and in which switch moreover the pushbutton (3) comprises, for locking in the actuated position and for unlocking from the latter position by renewed actuation, at one flattened side of its pushbutton shank, which shank extends over the entire height of the switch housing, a guide notch (14) which is of heart-shaped form disposed about a central pin (15) provided with a retaining recess and into which engages a pin formed on a slide (11) movable in and guided in a transverse slot (10) of the switch housing (1), characterized in that the switch bridge (21) is arranged on a laterally projecting supporting element assemblable securely on the pushbutton shank, the latter being constructed as a tubular extension (2), and that the heart-shaped guide notch (14) is extended downwardly in slot form, the length of the slot (18) being so dimensioned that by the action of the spring (4) acting on the pushbutton (3) the switch bridge (21) comes to abut on the contacts (8) fixed to the housing without the pin (12) of the slide (11) abutting on the end of the slot (18).
