The machine comprises, in the direction of displacement of the refrigeration fluid, a compressor (2), a condenser (3), an expander (4) and an evaporator (1) and is characterised in that said evaporator (1) is constituted by an enclosure formed by a double wall (1a/1b) which is sealed around its circumference (1c/1d/1e/1f), which enclosure adopts the general form of a cylinder which is open at its ends (1c/1d) and over the height of the enclosure (1e/1f) and the internal diameter of which is essentially equal to that of said article or of said package, with which the enclosure is in contact during the refrigeration phase. <IMAGE>

Appareil frigorifique pour refroidir des objets cylindriques ou des emballages cylindriques contenant des liquides et comportant, dans le sens du déplacement du fluide de réfrigération: un compresseur (2), un condenseur (3), un détendeur (4) et un évaporateur (1), caractérisé en ce que ledit évaporateur (1) est constitué par une enceinte formée par une double paroi (1a/1b) étanche sur son pourtour (1c/1d/1e/1f), laquelle enceinte adopte la forme générale d'un cylindre ouvert à ses extrémités (1c/1d) et sur la hauteur de l'enceinte (1e/1f) et dont le diamètre interne est sensiblement égal à celui dudit objet ou dudit emballage sur lequel l'enceinte est au contact pendant la phase de réfrigération.
