[origin: EP0157063A1] 1. An espagnolette fastener with a locking piece arranged at the extremity of the rod and engaging behind a stop, the locking piece (1) being capable to pivot around an axle of a hinge (7, 17) offset with respect to the rod (3) and the hinge being mounted to the part to be locked (5), characterized in that the locking piece (1) consists of an end cap (6) provided at one extremity of the rod (3) with an axle of the hinge (7) arranged in parallel with said cap or of a ball (17) offset with respect to the cap as well as of a two parts hinge support (8, 18) in which the axle of the hinge, resp. the ball is supported.
