[origin: US4564982A] A clasp for a bracelet or similar device including first and second arms hinged for pivotal movement between open and closed positions, wherein a buckle carried by the first arm adjustably receives the end of a first strap therethrough, the free end of the first strap being inserted through an opening provided in the first arm and concealed under a second strap connected to the second arm when the arms are disposed in the closed position.

Ce fermoir à boucle (1) pour bracelet présente deux bras (2 et 3) qui sont reliés par un gond (4). Les deux bras se replient l'un dans l'autre. La boucle est fixée à l'extrémité d'un premier bras (2). Un brin du bracelet est fixé dans la boucle. Le bout (5) de ce brin dépasse de la boucle. Le second bras, auquel est fixé le second brin, présente à son extrémité, immédiatement à côté de l'extrémité de ce second brin, une ouverture (6). Lors de la fermeture du bracelet, le bout (5) du premier brin est passé dans l'ouverture (6) et la boucle vient se placer contre l'extrémité du second brin. De la sorte, le bout (5) qui dépasse de la boucle est entièrement caché.
