[origin: US4621250A] A stationary case has a resistive track. An elastic wiper is carried by a rotor mounted to rotate in the case and able, during operation, to rub against the resistive track, and a spring is placed between the stationary case and the rotor to pull the rotor to a rest position. The case provides at least one housing able to receive the wiper without initial stress or deformation in an initial position of introduction of the rotor in the case and to allow the wiper to come in contact with the track during mounting of the rotor in the case by rotation of said rotor between its introduction position and its rest position. Application is to measuring the angular position of the throttle valve of an internal combustion engine.

Ce potentiomètre rotatif comprend un corps fixe (1) présentant une piste résistive (13), un balai élastique (3) porté par un rotor (2) monté à rotation dans le corps et adapté, en fonctionnement, pour frotter contre la piste résistive, et un ressort (5a) interposé entre le corps fixe et le rotor pour solliciter ce dernier vers une position de repos. Le corps (1) comporte au moins un logement (12) apte à recevoir le balai (3) sans précontrainte ni déformation dans une position initiale d'introduction du rotor (2) dans le corps (1) et à autoriser la venue en contact du balai (3) avec la piste (13) lors du montage du rotor dans le corps par rotation dudit rotor (2) entre sa position d'introduction et sa position de repos. Application à la mesure de la position angulaire du papillon des gaz d'un moteur à combustion interne.
