Abstract (en)

1. A device for filling an electrical and/or optical cable, particularly but not exclusively a communications cable, with a filling material which renders the cable waterproof in the longitudinal direction, the filling device consisting of a filling chamber, two sealing pipes which serve respectively as inlet and outlet for the chamber, and a preceding vessel which is under vacuum, characterised in that the filling chamber (12) is preceded by a vacuum vessel (20) which serves for the degassing of both the cable core (8) to be filled and of the new filler material and the regenerated filler material recycled during the filling process.

Der Füllkammer (12) der Füllvorrichtung (10) ist ein Vakuumbehälter (20) vorgeschaltet, der sowohl für das Entgasen der zu füllenden Kabelseele (8) als auch der neuen und der erneut in den Füllprozeß zurückgeführten Füllmasse ausgebildet ist.
