[origin: FR2546400A1] The contraceptive comprises on one hand a repulsive substance and on the other hand a spermicidal substance which are slowly soluble, as well as a hydrophilic carrier (1). The substances are contained for example in a capsule (2) or dispersed in the carrier (1). The contraceptive is placed in the vagina (A) of the female, at the vicinity of the cervix uteri (B) wherein substantially perfuse secretions of physiological liquid occur. The carrier (1) absorbs said liquid and expands. Thereby it bears against the vaginal walls and maintains in place the repulsive and spermicidal substances.

Le contraceptif comprend d'une part un produit répulsif et d'autre part un produit spermicide lentement solubles ainsi qu'un support hydrophile (1). Les produits sont logés, par exemple, dans une capsule (2) ou dispersés dans le support (1). Le contraceptif est placé dans le vagin (A) de la femelle, à proximité du col utérin (B) où se produisent des sécrétions assez abondantes de liquides physiologiques. Le support (1) absorbe ces liquides et se dilate. Ainsi, il prend appui sur les parois vaginales et maintient en place les produits répulsif et spermicide.
