Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0158724A1] 1. A switch having two pin-shaped fixed contacts (6a, 6b), which pass through a housing base plate (1) at a predetermined distance from one another and a contact bridge (7) made of spring sheet metal and consisting of a strip of flat material which extends between the fixed contacts (6a, 6b) and, in the region of a first end section (8a), has a tab (12) bent out of the strip and is braced by means of the tab (12) between one wall (10) of the housing and one of the fixed contacts (6a), and in which an operating body (17) guided in the switch housing, is provided with at least one projection (18) which interacts with at least one suitably bent section of the contact bridge (7) to operate or lock the operating body as the case may be, characterised in that the strip of flat material (7) is arranged in the switch housing with its flat faces (9) at right angles to the direction of the housing base plate (1) ; that the strip (7) is fixed at its first end section (8a) obliquely to the connecting line (26) of the two fixed contacts (6a, 6b), between a supporting wall (10) of the housing similarly obliquely positioned, and a first one (6a) of the two fixed contacts (6a, 6b) by means of the tab (12), and with a prestress so produced, is resiliently supported at its other, second end section (8b), on the other, second (6b) of the two fixed contacts (6a, 6b) ; and that the operating body is a contact slide (17) guided in the housing parallel to the connecting line (26) between the two fixed contacts (6a, 6b).
