Method for controlling with precision the pressure drop of a hydraulic fluid, initially under high pressure, feeding a hydraulic set and comprising the detection of the pressure of the fluid, characterized in that it consists in effecting discrete pressure drops by acting with a certain number of successive actions of low fluid leakage, this number being determined as a function of the time necessary for reducing the initial fluid pressure to a desired pressure value to be obtained and in stopping the successive actions when the desired pressure value is detected.
