1. Platform for lifting persons, in particular a working platform for building trade workers, comprising a vertically adjustable working platform with associated posts (1), said working platform having at least two cross members (2) which are arranged at a distance from one another and can be interconnected by means of longitudinal members (2), said cross members (3) being vertically adjustable by means of a rack-and-pinion drive (31) and being guided by rollers (15, 25) on tracks (16) in or on the posts (1), and comprising drive wheels or rollers (29), the two posts (1) being connected to one another by means of a cross shaft (7), characterised in that the drive wheels or rollers (29) are arranged on a frame (28) on the cross members (2) or on parts (19) connected to the cross members (2), and in a lower position of the working platform rest on a base and thus raise the two posts (1).
