Program-control apparatus, more particularly for household appliances, having hollow-cylinder-shaped drums (3, 4, 5), two of which are driven by a transport mechanism which has a motor-driven eccentric with, resting against it, a rocker (28), with spring-loaded transport plungers (29), whereby a first drum (3), which actuates sets of contacts, is developed as a program-determining cam drum and a second drum (5) is developed such that is permits the through-passage of a transport plunger (29) for the purpose of transporting the cam drum (3) on and, furthermore, a third drum (4) likewise having cams which actuate sets of contacts, characterised in that the third drum (4), developed as a reversing cam drum, is driven continuously by the motor (11) by way of a gear unit and the second drum is developed as a timer ring (5) which is separate herefrom and into the teeth of whick one of the transport plungers (29) can engage or for the purpose of transporting the first cam drum (3) on said plunger can pass through the teeth.
