The screen printer has a movable printing table and a suction chamber for the printing material which is connected to a vacuum source via elastic hoses. This suction chamber consists of a suction region which is continuous in the region of the edge of the printing table and which is sealed off from the outside and from the printing material. This design reduces the area subjected to the vacuum, and the available suction capacity results in a more rapid and more intensive build-up of a vacuum in this edge region. This is sufficient to ensure that even stiff or highly curved cardboard boxes are retained firmly and securely on the printing table by suction. <IMAGE>

Siebdruckmaschine mit einem beweglichen Drucktisch und einer Ansaugkammer für das Druckgut, die über elastische Schläuche an eine Unterdruckquelle angeschlossen ist. Diese Ansaugkammer besteht aus einem im Bereich des Randes des Drucktisches umlaufenden Ansaugbereich, der nach außen und zum Druckgut hin abgedichtet ist. Durch diese Ausgestaltung wird die vom Unterdruck beaufschlagte Fläche kleiner, die zur Verfügung stehende Absaugkapazität führt zu einem schnelleren und intensiveren Aufbau eines Unterdruckkes in diesem Randbereich. Das reicht aus, um auch steife oder stark gewölbte Kartonagen fest und sicher auf dem Drucktisch festzusaugen.
