A continuous band made up of bags and more particularly suitable for use in bag distributing machines, comprising a flattened continuous band made of supple, preferably plastic material, provided on each of its longitudinal edges with a longitudinal fold (2) directed towards the interior, comprising different groups of transverse lines with an equidistant spacing between them and spaced by a distance equal to the length of a bag, comprising a weld line (3) which constitutes the bottom each bag and a line (4) of perforations in order to permit the separation of each bag from the bags adjacent to it, characterized in that between each edge of the flattened tubular band (1) and the internal crest or the line of folding (2a) of the respective fold (2) longitudinal cuts (5 and 10) are produced, of which each runs across the two faces of the band (1) and the two faces of the fold (2) and which, starting slightly above the line of perforations of each bag, extend for a given length, parallel to the edge of the band (1) and come to an end in a curved line (5a and 12) directed towards the interior, transverse weld lines (6) being placed in the vicinity of the line of perforations (4) and extending from each cut (5 and 10) as far as the corresponding edge of the band (1) so as to unit the two faces with its respective folds (2).
