[origin: US4561470A] A control system for a fluid actuated control member is disclosed which utilizes a pair of electrically controlled servo valves to control the supply of servo pressure fluid to a control valve piston. The pair of servo valves are electrically controlled such that, under normal conditions, one of the servo valves is operative to supply the servo pressure signal, while the other servo valve remains in an inert, open position. Upon the detection of a malfunction in the operative servo valve, electrical switches render the malfunctioning valve inert and transfer the operative capabilities to the second servo valve. The hydraulic control system does retain 100% of its performance capabilities following a malfunction of the initial servo valve.

Les dispositifs connus de commande hydraulique par servovalve, en particulier du type buse-palette, présentent l'inconvénient d'être fragiles et très sensibles à la pollution. L'invention permet d'augmenter la fiabilité de telles commandes en associant deux servovalves (20, 30) travaillant chacune sur la même chambre (17) de l'organe commandé de telle sorte qu'une seule servovalve soit active à la fois, l'autre restant au repos en offrant une section de passage fixe. Lorsque le circuit électronique (100) de commande des servovalves détecte une panne du système, il commute la commande sur la servovalve initialement neutre, la servovalve initialement active venant en position neutre. On réalise ainsi un dispositif de commande hydraulique simple, conservant intégralement ses performances après une première panne.
