Device for applying a liquid, fine ceramic material onto a fixed, continuously moving carrier (2), in which a supply chamber for the material (10) is provided over the rectilinearly guided carrier (2), whose lateral limitations and whose rear limitation in the direction of mouvement of the carrier (2) are formed by fixed walls (6, 7), characterized in that the front limitation of the supply chamber for the material (10) in the direction of movement of the carrier (2) comprises a rotary driven roller (3), in the surface of which depressions (5) are provided, and in that the rear wall (7) of the supply chamber is inclined towards the carrier (2) and can be brought directly above the carrier (2) to abut the surface (4) of the roller (3).

Die Vorrichtung weist zum Zwecke der genauen Dosierung der Masse (10) oberhalb des kontinuierlich bewegten, geradlinig geführten Trägers (2) einen Vorratsraum für die Masse¹° auf. Die seitlichen Begrenzungen des Vorratsraumes sind durch feste Wände<6> gebildet. Die in Bewegungsrichtung des Trägers<9> vordere Begrenzung besteht aus einer rotierend angetriebenen Walze³ in deren Oberfläche Vertiefungen<5> vorgesehen sind. Die hintere Begrenzung ist durch eine weitere, gegen die Oberfläche<4> der Walze³ anstellbare Wanc<7> gebildet.
