The device has a rotatable hollow spindle which passes the yarn made. The spindle supports and rotates at least one knitting needle. At least one of the elementary yarns is introduced into the nose of the needle during rotation of the spindle. An assembly is used to cast off the stitches formed on the needle and to guide the novelty yarn obtained thereby inside the internal channel of the hollow spindle.
