[origin: US4659048A] A supporting device for a data display unit (32) consists of a base plate (26) which can be swivelled about a vertical axis (24) and on which a supporting plate (30), on which the data display unit (32) stands, is longitudinally displaceable. A slide, which supports the bearing specifying the swivel axis of the base plate (26), is additionally linearly displaceable (38).
