[origin: US4582783A] An antistatic layer applied to the back of the photographic material contains (A) a mixture of sodium magnesium silicate and the sodium salt of polystyrene sulphonic acid and (B) a succinic acid semi-ester compound. The antistatic layer is distinguished by high abrasion resistance and its good qualities as writing and printing surface.

Die auf der Rückseite des photographischen Materials angebrachte Antistatikschicht enthält (A) ein Gemisch aus einem Natriummagnesiumsilikat und dem Natriumsalz von Polystyrolsulfonsäure und (B) eine Bernsteinsäurehalbesterverbindung. Die Antistatikschicht zeichnet sich durch hohe Abriebfestigkeit und gute Bedruck- oder Beschreibbarkeit aus.
