[origin: US4614047A] The ski boot is closed by a device acting both as a closing and a tightening device. This device comprises a worm-screw mounted in one of the two portions of the boot and cooperating with a cogged strap rigid with the other portion, the cogged strap being kept in meshing engagement with the worm-screw by guide means adapted to be moved away from the strap for releasing same or quickly bringing a selected portion of the strap in front of the worm-screw.

La chaussure est fermée par un dispositif assurant simultanément la fermeture et la tension. Ce dispositif comprend une vis sans fin (8) montée dans l'une des parties de la chaussure (2) et coopérant avec une courroie dentée (6) solidaire de l'autre partie (4) de la chaussure. La courroie dentée est maintenue en prise avec la vis sans fin par un moyen de guidage (18) susceptible d'être relevé pour libérer la courroie ou pour amener rapidement une partie de cette courroie en face de la vis sans fin.
