[origin: WO8404695A1] Wave generator having moving parts (3, 4) under a flexible coating (1) extending in an endless path, which moving parts support and deform the coating (1) so that it generates waves travelling in the path direction, and on which waves it is possible to skid, for example with roller skates. In order to reduce as much as possible the tension forces occurring in the area of the arcuated path segments in the material forming the coating (1), the moving parts (3, 4) are arranged so that their points of contact with the lower surface of the coating (1) are located in a wave-like surface, the envelope, of which the lenght and height of the waves increase from the smallest value at the inner edge of the path in the direction of the outer edge of the path proportionnally to the distance to the path curvature center of the arcuated path segment, and so that the set of points of the envelope having the same wave phase forms each time a straight line segment. In order to provide at the edges of the floor or coating (1) a resistant support for the user, the guard posts (9) are pivotingly connected to the coating (1) at their lower end and are held by a motionless guiding rail (11) perpendiculary to the ground surface. A guard hand rail (16) of solid material is pivotingly secured to two guard posts (9).

Générateur de vagues, présentant des parties (3, 4) mobiles en-dessous d'un revêtement flexible (1) s'étendant sur un chemin sans fin, qui soutiennent le revêtement (1) et qui le déforment de telle façon qu'il crée des vagues progressant dans la direction du chemin, sur lesquelles il est possible de glisser, par exemple avec des patins à roulettes. Afin de réduire autant que possible les forces de tension survenant dans la zone des segments de chemin arqués dans le matériau formant le revêtement (1), les parties mobiles (3, 4) y sont disposées de telle manière que leurs points de contact avec la surface inférieure du revêtement (1) se trouvent dans une surface en forme de vague, l'enveloppe, dont la longueeur et l'amplitude des vagues augmentent de la valeur la plus petite au bord intérieur du chemin en direction du bord extérieur du chemin proportionnellement à la distance au centre de courbure du chemin du segment de chemin arqué, et que l'ensemble des points de l'enveloppe de même phase de vague forme à chaque fois le segment d'une droite. Afin que le garde-fou offre à l'utilisateur un appui résistant aux bords du revêtement (1), les poteaux du garde-fou (9) sont reliés de manière pivotante au revêtement (1) à leur extrémité inférieure et ils sont maintenus par un rail de guidage immobile (11) en position perpendiculaire par rapport à la surface du sol. Une main courante (16) de garde-fou en matériau solide est fixée de manière pivotante à deux poteaux de garde-fou (9).
