[origin: WO8502183A1] Esters of 3,5-dihydrocarbyl-4-hydroxybenzyl malonic acid are prepared by reacting an N,N-dihydro-carbyl-2,6-dihydrocarbyl-4-aminomethylphenol with an ester of a 1,3-dicarboxylic acid in the presence of a basic substance selected from the group consisting of alkali metal hydroxides, alkali metal salts of a weak acid, alkaline earth metal hydroxides, alkaline earth metal salts of a weak acid, amine bases and mixtures of the same. The products are useful as antioxidants.

On prépare des esters d'acide 3,5-dihydrocarbyle-4-hydroxybenzyle malonique en faisant réagir un N,N-dihydrocarbyle-2,6-dihydrocarbyle-4-aminométhylphénol avec un ester d'un acide 1,3-dicarboxylique en présence d'une substance basique choisie dans le groupe formé par les hydroxydes de métal alcalin, les sels de métal alcalin d'un acide faible, les hydroxydes de métal alcalino-terreux, les sels de métal alcalino-terreux d'un acide faible, les base d'amine et leurs mélanges. Ces produits sont utiles comme antioxydants.
