1. Mattress with a soft, elastic support and with a covering containing strips (4), whose ends rest on elastic bearing elements, over said strips (4) is placed a foam support (6) and the covering (8) covers the foam support (6), the strips (4) and the bearing elements and joins same to form a unit, characterized in that the bearing elements are two tubes (2, 3) arranged on both longitudinal sides of the mattress and extending in the longitudinal direction thereof, which are mounted in a frame (1), the complete structure being covered by the covering (8), so that the mattress is constructed as a self-supporting unit.

Eine Matratze enthält als Federelemente Federleisten (4), die sich vorzugsweise auf luftgefüllten Schläuchen (2, 3) abstützen. Durch Verwendung eines starren Rahmens (1), in den die Schläuche (2, 3) eingesetzt sind, lassen sich sämtliche Teile der Matratze mittels eines Überzuges (8) zu einer Einheit fest verspannen.Für diese Matratze ist ein gesonderter Bettrost nicht mehr erforderlich.
