Abstract (en)
[origin: US4655606A] The timepiece of the invention includes at least a seconds hand arranged to respond to a chronograph mechanism. It comprises a single motor which receives at least two pulses per second so as to cause the seconds hand to advance by at least two steps per second. The system as disclosed enables an improvement in readability of the precision of time intervals on the one hand and on the other hand assures certain operation of the chronograph while using a stepping motor dimensioned to drive a simple timekeeper.

La pièce d'horlogerie comporte au moins une aiguille de secondes (7) obéissant à un mécanisme de chronographe. Elle comprend un seul moteur recevant au moins deux impulsions par seconde pour faire progresser l'aiguille de secondes d'au moins deux pas par seconde. Le système proposé permet, d'une part, d'améliorer la précision de lecture des intervalles de temps et, d'autre part, d'assurer une marche sûre du chronographe en utilisant un moteur pas à pas dimensionné pour entraîner un simple garde-temps.
