1. Apparatus socket with an insulating material socket base (1) carrying behind two adjacent plug openings (13) the live current contacts (5) and behind a further plug opening (14) an earthing contact (6), as well as a contact cover member (4) mounted in movable manner at right angles to the plug-in direction (arrow 18) against a restoring force, such as a restoring spring, from the covering position (Fig. 1) into a release position (Fig. 6), for the one-sided covering of the live contacts (5) with the pins (33, 34) exracted from the associated plug (32), characterized in that for transferring into the release position, the cover member (4) is provided with at least one sloping abutting surface (27) for at least one plug pin (34) and located in the covering position in the vicinity of the associated plug opening (14) and on which is mounted the base (1) carrying contacts (5, 6).

Eine Geräte-Steckdose für Backöfen oder dgl. weist ein bewegbar im Steckdosen-Gehäuse (1) gelagertes Abdeckglied (4) für die stromführenden Kontakte (5) und einen Erdungskontakt (6) auf, das eine schräge Auflauffläche für den dem Erdungskontakt (6) zugehörigen Steckerstift (34) des zugehörigen Steckers (32) aufweist. Beim Einstecken des Steckers (32) in die Steckdose drückt der Steckerstift (34) durch Berühren der Auflauffläche das Abdeckglied (4) entgegen der Kraft einer Rückstellfeder (7) in seine Freigabestellung zurück, aus der das Abdeckglied (4) beim Herausziehen des Steckers (32) unter der Kraft der Rückstellfeder (7) selbsttätig wieder in seine Abdeckstellung zurückspringt.
