Abstract (en)
The alloy for treating nodular cast iron consists of an Fe-Si base alloy with additions of at least one metal from the rare earths group, at least one metal from the alkaline earths group, of Bi and Al. To obtain self-feeding behaviour of the melt treated with the inoculation alloy, while dispensing with specific inoculation in the mould, the inoculation alloy should contain carbon beyond the solution equilibrium of the Fe-Si-base alloy and be essentially free of metal oxides.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine impflegierung zur Behandlung von sphärolithischem Gußeisen, - aus einer Fe-Si-Basislegierung mit Zusätzen von mindestens einem Metall der Gruppe seltener Erden, von mindestens einem Metall der Gruppe Erd-alkali, von Bi und Al. Um ein selbstspeisendes Verhalten der mit der Impflegierung behandelten Schmelze unter Verzicht auf eine spezielle Formimpfung zu erreichen, soll die Impflegierung über das Lösungsgleichgewicht der Fe- Si-Ba-sislegierung hinaus Kohlenstoff enthalten und im wesentlichen metalloxidfrei sein.
