1. Cooling or heating roll with a roll jacket (1) and a guide jacket (7) fixed in the roll interior and rotatable with the roll jacket, with channels in the roll bearings (4, 5) for feed and discharge of a fluid heat exchange medium to or from the interior of the roll, with a cylindrical gap (8) arranged between the guiding and the roll jackets for guiding the circulatory stream along the roll jacket and with a pump wheel (9, 12) for circulating the heat exchange medium substantially completely filling the interior of the roll, characterised in that the pump wheel (9, 12) is stationarily arranged.

Das flüssige Wärmeträgermedium innerhalb einer Kühl- oder Heizwalze (1) wird darin mittels eines stationar angeordneten Pumpenrades (9) unter Ausnutzung der von der Walzenreibung erzwungenen Umfangsgeschwindigkeit des Wärmeträgermediums umgewälzt.
