Abstract (en)
A method for renewing railway switches in which a new switch is substituted for a switch to be renewed (Y) without using a track (b) adjacent to the track (a) which comprises the said switch. This method essentially comprises two successive steps: - a first step in which, after isolating the switch (Y) and dividing the latter into a switch section (1) and a crossing section (2,3,4), the crossing section is removed and replaced by a provisional standard track section, and the ballast under the switch section and provisional track section is renewed; - a second step in which the switch section (1) and the provisional track section are removed and the new switch is installed at the site of the gap thus created in the track (a). These operations make use of a ballast scarifier and screening machine, a change-over vehicle, a set of mixed rail and road vehicles and moveable handling gantries. <IMAGE>

L'invention concerne un procédé de renouvellement d'appareils de voie ferrée, dans lequel on substitue à un appareil de voie à renouveler (Y) un nouvel appareil de voie sans utiliser une voie adjacente (b) à la voie (a) qui comporte ledit appareil. Ce procédé comprend essentiellement duex étapes successives: - une première étape où, après isolement de l'appareil de voie (Y) et division de celui-ci en une section d'aiguillage (1) et une section de croisement (2, 3, 4), on enlève la section de croisement et on la remplace par une section de voie courante provisoire, et on renouvelle le ballast sous les sections d'aiguillage et de voie provisoire; - une deuxième étape où on enlève la section d'aiguillage (1) et la section de voie provisoire et on pose le nouvel appareil à l'emplacement de la lacune ainsi créée dans la voie (a). Ces opérations font appel à une dégernisseuse-cribleuse, à un véhicule de substitution, à une rame de véhicules mixtes rail-route et à des portiques mobiles de manutention.
