[origin: WO8501873A1] A collapsible frame, preferably for wheelchairs, including two side portions (1, 2) which are mutually spaced, vertical and substantially parallel in the position of use, between which there is carried a seat and which are movable towards each other to a collapsed state. The frame includes first support means in the form of two U-shaped members (3, 4) which are articulately connected mutually and with said side portions, second support means in the form of crossed struts (10, 11) which are articulately connected with the first support means and side portions, a locking rod (17) articulately attached to the first support means and glidably united with the second support means as well as being adapted for locking said first and second support means in a predetermined position in relation to each other in the position of use.

Cadre pliant, de préférence pour fauteuils roulants, comportant deux parties latérales (1, 2) espacées l'une de l'autre, verticales et essentiellement parallèles en position d'utilisation, entre lesquelles se trouve un siège et qui sont déplaçables l'une vers l'autre pour prendre une position repliée. Le cadre comporte un premier mécanisme de support sous la forme de deux éléments en U (3, 4) qui sont connectés de manière articulée entre eux et avec lesdites parties latérales, un second mécanisme de support sous la forme d'entretoises croisées (10, 11) qui sont reliées de manière articulée au premier mécanisme de support et aux parties latérales, une tige de blocage (17) fixée de manière articulée au premier mécanisme de support et liée de manière coulissante au second mécanisme de support, tout en étant conçue pour bloquer lesdits premier et second mécanismes de support dans une position prédéterminée l'un par rapport à l'autre en position d'utilisation.
