Overload circuit breaker with a housing (1), with switch contacts (3) contained in the housing (1), with a bimetallic switch which separates the switch contacts (3) electrically when a limit temperature is exceeded, and with a heating resistor (19) connected in parallel to the bimetallic switch, characterized in that the housing (1) is comprised of two essentially identical half-shells, and that all components of the overload circuit breaker are held together and guided by sprung clamp straps (22) in suitable recesses in the housing and are connected without solder inside the housing (1) with the sprung clamp straps (22) serving both to hold the components in place and also to create the electrical connections inside the housing (1).
